Dieting Dead Ends We all run into the brick walls of dieting. We all feel the frustration of facing yet another salad. The most important thing to keep in mind is the necessity for focus and refreshing. Just as you refresh your computer screen, you must refresh your interest and reasons for wanting to lose weight. Whatever your reasons for the desire to slim down and become healthier, they must still exist. You've let them slip into the background of your focus and because of that, you're starting to feel a bit deprived and unhappy. You forget what it is you set out to do. Ask yourself the following questions to help you keep focused. Keep aware of your answers to them. - do you find yourself bored eating the same things daily? - have you lost that new diet edge and are slipping back into old habits? - do you find yourself resenting your loss of treats and carbs? If you answered yes to any of these questions, its time to beef up the menu and your attitude. Take a step back and regroup, getting some new and different foods to stop the boredom, as well as using your dieting journal to refocus on your reasons. Don't let a mid-diet ditch get you down.
